| Term | Meaning |

| Fence | A table you can bet on, e.g. "Will NVDA fall today?" |
| Fence line | The price a fence is about. For official fences it's the opening price |
| Hold | The side betting the price stays at or above the fence line |
| Cross | The side betting it closes below. People on this side are bear senders |
| Pool (E1) | Each side bets into its own pool; winners share the losing pool |
| Planks (E2) | Fixed-odds listings anyone can post; one share pays 1 USDG |
| Ticket | The price paid per share on Planks |
| Dusk | In a Pool, later bets get fewer shares per dollar. Also the moment an auction hits its floor |
| Close | When a fence closes and its result is decided |
| Void | No valid result. Everyone gets their stake back |
| Focus breeds | The breeds that get official fences this week: SPY + the 3 with most effective stake |
| Breed | One stock or ETF a bull or bear can graze on, e.g. NVDA |
| Bull / bear | NFTs that share the weekly Harvest. Bulls do well when their breed ranks high, bears when it ranks low |
| Bull owner / bear owner | Someone holding the NFT. Not the same as a bear sender in a fence |
| Pasture / grazing | Which breed an animal grazes on. Changed weekly; the first change is free |
| Harvest | The USDG paid to fed bulls and bears each week. Not the same as fence winnings |
| Harvest week | Friday 16:00 ET to the next Friday 16:00 |
| Harvest pool | The contract holding Harvest. Releases 1/8 of its balance each week |
| Fed / Harvest eligibility | An animal covered by this week's ration of effective stake. Only fed animals get this week's share |
| Stake needed per head | This week's ration, in USDG |
| Pat | A free daily check-in. Builds your record; never touches money |
| Dusk Auction | The falling-price auction where bulls and bears are born |
| Clearing price | The price everyone in an auction lot pays |
| Keeper | Our bot that presses open, settle and feed buttons. Anyone else can press them too |
| Settle bounty | A small reward for whoever presses settle |
| Self-limit | Your own daily cap and cool-off, enforced on-chain |
| Season | About one earnings season. Each season gets a new set of fence contracts |
| $SRANCH | The ranch's token. Spent and burned in the game |
| USDG | The US dollar stablecoin used for every bet, payout and Harvest |
