The basics
Is this an exchange or a broker?
No. Stock Ranch is a game. You don't buy or hold stocks here. Fences settle in USDG using Chainlink prices, and bulls and bears are game NFTs, not shares.
Do I need $SRANCH to play?
No. Fences take USDG. $SRANCH is only needed to buy bulls and bears in the Dusk Auction and for a few other things in the game.
Do I need a bull or bear to bet?
No. Anyone can bet in the fences. Bulls and bears are for people who also want to make a weekly call on which stocks rank highest or lowest.
What's the smallest bet?
1 USDG.
Fences
What happens if the price feed breaks?
The fence waits up to 24 hours for a fresh price. If there still isn't one, it's voided and everyone gets their full stake back.
Why did a flat day go to Hold?
The fence line is the opening price, and only a close strictly below it counts as Cross. Because feeds update on 0.5% moves, quiet days often close exactly at the open. The fence card says this up front.
Can I get my stake back if I change my mind?
No. Bets can't be withdrawn. You get your stake back if you win, or if the fence is voided.
Is there a deadline to collect?
No. Winnings, refunds and Harvest never expire.
Bulls, bears and Harvest
Why didn't my animal get Harvest this week?
Usually one of three reasons: it wasn't fed (not enough effective stake this week), it was born this week (animals count from the next full week), or its bucket was simply small that week. The app shows which.
Where does an unfed animal's share go?
It stays in the Harvest pool and rolls into next week. Nobody else gets it.
Does the old genesis bull get more than a new one?
No. Same bucket, same amount. Age only changes the look and the record.
If I sell my bull, who gets its unclaimed Harvest?
The buyer. Harvest is attached to the animal.
Can the team change the split or the 1/8 release?
No. The Harvest pool and the splitter have no admin. Fence fee splits are fixed for the season.
Money
How does the team make money?
20% of token trading fees and 25% of fence fees. That's all of it. The team holds no tokens. See Where the money goes.
Is there a presale or whitelist?
No, and there never will be. Anyone offering one is a scammer.
Will $SRANCH go up?
We don't know and won't say. Holding it gives no claim on anything the ranch collects. See $SRANCH.
Access
Which countries can't play?
Stock Ranch is not available in the US, Canada, the UK, Switzerland or the UAE.
Is there a test version?
Yes: test.sranch.xyz runs on test data with no real money.
